about

Caution : This recording contains very high frequencies. Please avoid playing this music near infants and animals such as dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rats, bats, porpoises, etc. Additionally, be mindful of your own hearing as some frequencies in this recording exceed 40kHz. While most speakers cannot reproduce such frequencies, some monitors are able to play sounds up to 40kHz.

The mp3 version does not go over 20kHz due to the format’s limitations, streaming won’t reproduce these frequencies either.

Imagine if an advanced alien civilisation discovered the Golden Record sent by NASA and managed to listen to it. What if these aliens had a different hearing range than us ? They could perhaps perceive these recordings sent to space as dull compared to their own music.

This composition, which is highly unlikely to be heard by any aliens, was nevertheless created with these considerations in mind. It was not intended for people who are sensitive to these frequencies, nor was it composed for individuals who are too old to hear certain high frequencies unless they anticipate listening to a special extended mix of John Cage's 4'33".

High pitch tones and frequencies have a fascinating effect on individuals, evoking a range of responses. For some, these sounds offer a captivating experience, igniting a sense of exhilaration and excitement. They may find joy in the piercing clarity and the way it resonates within them. Conversely, others might detest these sounds, finding them unbearable or even painful. The intensity of high pitch tones can cause discomfort, irritation, and a desire to escape. Each person's sensitivity and preference for high frequencies vary, shaping their unique relationship with these acoustic sensations.
