Spanning more than thirty years of Axiome’s recordings but focusing on lesser-known tracks, ‘Axiome – RMX’ by Aluviana utilizes oblique strategies to introduce the former’s music to an unfamiliar and, quite possibly, unsuspecting audience.
Just as the New Romantics in the early ’80s were the ones to introduce and enhance such music that had influenced them in the previous decade, there is probably no better artist to emulate Axiome’s sound than their younger peer Aluviana, having been their collaborator and admirer of their oeuvre for more than a couple of decades.
For the yet unconverted, Axiome is a Belgian duo, currently split between Belgium and Germany, formed in 1990 by Olivier Moreau (Imminent, Ambre, Tricot Trio, Urawa, etc.) and C-drík Fermont (Kirdec, Črno Klank, Ambre, Moonsanto, Tasjiil Moujahed, Tetra Plok, etc.), who used to release their music on German label ant-zen from 1999 to 2016. Lovers of diversity in the musical genre would definitely rejoice knowing that, for the last three decades, Axiome’s artistic expression has encompassed a plethora of diverse musical styles, spanning Rhythmic /Power Noise, Glitch, Breakcore, Acid and, as of late, their own interpretation of Electro.
Aluviana’s take on Axiome’s opus is a breath of fresh air blown across eight tracks, introducing a broad range of tempers of dark, brooding ambient build-ups, escalating into well-structured and tightly produced Industrial, Electro, and Acid beats and elaborate melodic themes that make an indelible imprint on the listener’s psyche. The sub-bass, sound manipulations and sombre atmospherics restore one’s faith in melodic, though nowadays nearly defunct, Dark Ambient of the ’90s, whilst managing to remain subliminal and playful with the typical ‘Axiomeish’ sense of humor and – yes! - a touch of Beethoven, as well.
A perfect brief sardonic soundtrack to events that transpired over the last thirty years, culminating in today’s state of humankind as it is, ‘Axiome – RMX’ will surely aspire to a variety of electronic music connoisseur tastes, thereby transcending borders and belief systems and marrying cultural differences existent in the ever diverging communities of today. - Lord Ferdzilla

Less glitchy that previous releases, imminent skews more complex experimentation on mythrality. This 3-track "EP" is very atmospheric with insidious tones, but serene and surreal in its tone. DAS VILLAIN
