Prairie is the project of musician and producer Marc Jacobs, hailing from Brussels with roots in The Netherlands. He previously released an EP ("I'm so in love I almost forgot I survived a Disaster" - 2013) and an LP ("Like a Pack of Hounds" - 2015) on the Berlin imprint Shitkatapult. In 2018, he releases "After the Flash Flood", his first album on Denovali, followed by his second on the same label, “And the Bird said: Cut me Open and Sing Me” in 2020.
On stage, Prairie plays either solo or with various musicians, and together re-create a free association of musical ideas and atmospheres, using amplified guitars and electronics.
Prairie has played in selected venues and festivals across Europe and toured with Apparat in 2016 and played next to Aidan Baker, The Soft Moon, Dictaphone, Roly Porter...

Next to making music, Marc Jacobs works as a music consultant and as a curator of experimental and electronic music for various venues, events and festivals, among which the Centre for Fine Arts in Brussels (Bozar). He is also the founder of Le Bureau Electronique, a platform dedicated to the promotion of leftfield music and arts in Belgium.
