Pi-oux is an experimental vocalist, composer, and an anthropologist from Myanmar based in the Netherlands.Drawing elements from Western classical singing and classical Myanmar singing techniques, Pi-oux creates her own extended singing style. Having lived in Myanmar where freedom of expression and speech are undermined, Pi-oux uses experimental vocals to express her personal struggles which often coincide with the struggles of the majority of people living in Myanmar.
